Tracking Domain Names

So just how do you track websites?

You track a website by entering its domain name. For example, to track Social Alerter, the domain name is socialalerter.com. On some sites, the domain name might have a www. prefixed to it, like www.socialalerter.com. It is best to not include the www. prefix when tracking domains on SA. This is because the website tracker will match socialalerter.com to both socialalerter.com and www.socialalerter.com tracking www.socialalerter.com will match only itself, and not just socialalerter.com.

Why have this? To allow you to track subdomains. So to track blog.socialalerter.com, you type that in, and you can track the blog subdomain. If you want to track all subdomains under socialeralerter.com (i.e. anything.socialalerter.com), then track just socialalerter.com.
